Two Facebook smartphones by HTC

These two smartphones showed at MWC 2011 are designed for active Facebook users. They are HTC Salsa and HTC Chacha. The only difference between these two devices is their shape factor. HTC Salsa has a big 3.4-inch capacitive touch screen (320x480px resolution) while HTC Chacha features 2.6-inch landscape display (480х320px) and full QWERTY keyboard. Both these devices have Qualcomm MSM7227 processor with 600MHz clock, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 5MP camera with autofocus and flash, MicroSD external memory card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack.As many other smartphones both HTC Salsa and HTC Chacha run on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with HTC Sense user interface. But they have a unique feature that makes them attractive for Facebook fans - a hardware context-aware button. With a single press of this button, users update their status, upload a photo, share a Website, post what song they are listening to, ‘check in’ to a location and more. For example, users can let their friends know what song they’re listening to by pressing the button while listening to music on the phone. The track is automatically identified and shared on Facebook. HTC Salsa and HTC Chacha will be released in Q2 2011. There is no official information about price but it is expected that it will be quite affordable.
