Britisch Acer’s subdivision has just announced new device. Acer beTouch E140 is a quite affordable smartphone running on Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system that soon can be upgraded to 2.3 Gingerbread. The device supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA networks and is equipped with 600MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 2.8-inch resistive touch screen with 240x320px resolution, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, microSD external memory card slot (up to 32GB), 1300mAh battery. Acer beTouch E140 will become available this month and will cost about EUR200.
The first information about this device appeared a week ago – HTC launched a teaser site announcing coming 4G smartphone. But Droid-life source has already published some its promo pics. The main feature of HTC Thunderbolt is LTE networks support. But its list of specification is also very impressive. This high-end smartphone has 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, 8MP camera with double LED flash, frontal 1.3MP camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroSD external memory card slot, GPS, 3.5mm headphones jack. It is also know that the device runs on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is expected that HTC Thunderbolt will be officially announced at CES 2011 exhibition.
